On Saturday 28th November, we held our second dinner dance and charity auction at the Crowne Plaza hotel in Marlow.
Thanks to the generosity of our main sponsor, local business Big Wipes Limited and so many supporters, we raised an amazing £11,500 after costs. We had a wide range of fantastic auction and raffle prizes which included a McLaren car for a long weekend, a family photo session and jewellery to name just a few.
Patrick Maher, Trustee, gave a speech about the work of Walk Centre and explained how the money raised goes a long way and makes such a difference to so many lives.
A great time was had by all, with dancing until the early hours to live music by local band ‘Connected’ and DJ Declan Flynn. There were many sore heads the next day, but everyone agreed it was a fabulous evening.
We would like to thank everyone who attended on the night and to those who gave so generously donated auction and raffle prizes. One of the aims of the charity is to increase our monthly sponsors, so we were delighted that a number of guests also signed up to a monthly donation on the night.
Why not check out photos of the evening on our Facebook page kindly taken by Dave Marriott.
We look forward to the next dinner for more fun and fund raising!
